PDF metadata on export from ScannedLook

Beyond the visible page, PDFs carry a catalog of properties. ScannedLook exposes common fields so you can align a file’s story with how it will be filed, searched, or audited.

Creator vs producer

Roughly: Creator often names the authoring app; Producer names the component that wrote the PDF bytes. Defaults in the tool echo familiar consumer MFP strings — change them if your archive policy wants something plainer.

Language tag

BCP 47 codes (like en-US) help viewers pick spelling tools. Match the dominant language of the body when you can.

Dates

Creation and modification timestamps reflect export time in the current build. Do not treat them as a forensic chain of custody; they describe the export event, not the original contract signing.
