Watermarks on scan-style PDFs

A watermark is a second story on the page: branding, “draft,” or ownership cues. In ScannedLook it is painted onto the page pixels after the scan effect and before the scanner-bed frame — so it feels glued to the sheet, not floating above the UI.

Opacity and scale

Heavy logos fight with noise and blur. Start conservative: smaller scale, lower opacity, then nudge until the mark reads in thumbnail without shouting over the body text.

Site image vs your own PNG

You can ship a default asset in your deployment, or upload a one-off PNG/JPEG/WebP. The latter is handy when each department has its own corner bug.

Not a security control

Watermarks deter casual reuse; they do not encrypt or redact. Pair them with policy, not superstition.
