Harmless uses

• Personal organization where no third party relies on the file as evidence.

High-risk uses

Implying a document was physically scanned when it was digitally altered to change meaning crosses from styling into misrepresentation. Courts, insurers, and employers have seen PDF games before.

Metadata honesty

Inventing creator strings that mimic a brand you do not own is a separate bad idea. Prefer neutral, accurate fields unless counsel says otherwise.
